Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistants to work within a specialist setting in Preston. You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), PMLD, SEMH, and learning difficulties, working closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

We offer adhoc, temp to perm, full-time and part-time opportunities, with ongoing training and CPD, a supportive school

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, or youth work backgrounds welcomed)
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to support challenging behaviour when required
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

Responsibilities

PMLD Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are recruiting dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistants to work within a specialist Setting in Preston. We have Adhoc, Temp to Perm, Full-time and Part-time opportunities for the right candidates. You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), PMLD, SEMH, and learning difficulties, working closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
