Job summary

Reed is seeking a SEND Learning Support Assistant to support learners with SEND in Lambeth, London, helping them access learning and college services while fostering independence.

You will work with individuals or small groups to promote engagement, support EHCP goals, and assist with personal care as needed, under safeguarding guidelines. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with learners, teachers, parents/carers, and other agencies involved.
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, discrimination issues, and the difficulties faced by those with learning difficulties.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills combined with good IT knowledge and sound administration skills.
  • Experience of working with SEND learners in a secondary or further education environment is desirable.
  • Child & Adult DBS required.

SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
  • Annual Salary: 15.55- £17.75p/h(umbrella)
  • Location: Lambeth, London
  • Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team Lambeth. This role is crucial in providing essential learning and accessibility support to young people and adults with SEND. The ideal candidate will have experience in areas such as Team Teach, challenging behaviour, PEG feeding, manual handling, hoisting, and personal care.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide person-centred learning support to learners with severe and complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
