Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd in Wimbledon seeks a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to help pupils reach their potential and support teachers with engaging lessons. You will work one-to-one and in small groups across a welcoming school.

This term-time, full-time role offers immediate start, ongoing training, and opportunities for progression in a supportive environment. DBS checks are required or linked to Update Service.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
  • SEN experience is preferred; however, a willingness to learn and develop new skills is equally valued.
  • Positive, patient, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Are you passionate about supporting children and helping them achieve their full potential? A welcoming and inclusive school in the Wimbledon area is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in education. Whilst experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is preferred, it is by no means essential. SEN support is a learnable skill, and full guidance and support will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support children with a variety of learning needs and abilities.
  • Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and participation.
  • Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
