Job summary

The Supply Register, working on behalf of Coleg Cambria, seeks a Work-Based Learning Practitioner – Plumbing to support apprentices in Deeside. You will assess learners, plan training and monitor End Point Assessments, while delivering practical and theory-based sessions with Welsh language options.

You will coach learners, liaise with employers, and maintain records to meet awarding organisation requirements. A Level 3 Plumbing qualification and GasSafe eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Plumbing qualification (or equivalent).
• Significant industry experience within the plumbing sector.
• Eligibility to join the GasSafe Register.
• Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.
• Confidence using digital systems and software, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Willingness to work towards assessor, quality assurance, and professional development qualifications where required.
• Welsh-speaking ability or willingness to learn alongside the role.

Responsibilities

• Support and assess plumbing apprentices working towards industry-recognised qualifications.
• Manage a caseload of learners, conducting training needs analyses and monitoring progress towards End Point Assessment.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to help learners achieve their full potential.
• Deliver engaging practical and theory-based sessions on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
• Work closely with employers to ensure apprentices receive high-quality workplace learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all assessment activities meet awarding organisation requirements.
