Job summary

Henry Blue Ltd in Deeside, North Wales, is recruiting a Plumbing Work-Based Learning Practitioner to support plumbing apprentices in the workplace through to completion.

You will manage your own caseload, visit learners on-site to assess, coach and mentor, deliver underpinning knowledge to individuals or small groups, conduct inductions and initial assessments, and guide learners through e-portfolios toward IQA readiness, while engaging with employers on progress. TAQA training is supported.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Plumbing qualification is required.
• Proven industry experience in plumbing.
• TAQA assessor award or willingness to work towards one.
• Level 2 English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above).
• Full driving licence and access to transport for daily site visits.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own caseload of plumbing apprentices.
• Visiting learners on site to assess, coach and mentor.
• Delivering underpinning knowledge one-to-one or in small groups of up to 8.
• Carrying out inductions, initial assessments and individual learning plans.
• Guiding learners through e-portfolios and preparing them for IQA.
• Working with employers on learner progress.

Education

A Level 3 Plumbing qualification

TAQA assessor award

Level 2 English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)

Welsh language skills (desirable)
