Job summary

A leading engineering firm is excited to offer a permanent Plumber position in York. You will perform routine and non-routine maintenance, along with mains water supply repairs. Candidates should possess an NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and Heating, or level 2 may be considered. Experience in a commercial environment is desirable, and Prison Security Clearance will be necessary. Job description
Overview

We are excited to offer a permanent Plumber position in HMP Full Sutton, Moor Lane, Full Sutton, York YO41 1PS.

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week on a rota basis between 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday; 08:00 - 16:00 Friday to Sunday. There is a need to work 1 in 3 weekends on a rota basis, with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary.

What you will do
  • Routine and non-routine maintenance.
  • Mains water supply repairs.
  • Fault finding, identification of life expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
  • Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.
What you will bring
  • Full driving licence
  • Experience in a commercial environment is desirable
  • Experience in operating light plant
  • NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and Heating is preferred (we may consider NVQ level 2)
  • Legionella Control (L8) is desirable
