Job summary

Vision for Education is partnering with a specialist school in Burnley to recruit a SEND Teacher for a full-time role starting 2 November 2026. The post involves teaching a KS1 class with complex needs, including EYFS exposure, and a strong emphasis on play-based learning and early development.

Qualifications

• Experience with EYFS and KS1.
• Strong understanding of play-based learning and early developmental approaches.
• Ability to support pupils with complex needs in an inclusive setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning tailored to each pupil.
• Teach pupils working significantly below age-related expectations.
• Support non-verbal pupils using visual and alternative communication methods.
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities as needed.
• Create a nurturing, safe learning environment for all pupils.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support development.
