Job summary

Vertus Partners is seeking a Platform Engineer to build and evolve the engineering platform underpinning critical investment applications. The role spans platform engineering, cloud infrastructure and software delivery, delivering tooling, automation and operational foundations for fast, secure, reliable shipping of services.

You will work across Kubernetes environments, IaC with Terraform, and CI/CD tooling, shaping platform strategy and engineering standards in a hybrid office setup.

Qualifications

• Experience in platform engineering, DevOps or cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and containerised environments.
• Knowledge of Azure or another major public cloud.
• Terraform or similar IaC tooling experience.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD tooling and automated delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance cloud-based platform capabilities used across engineering teams.
• Develop and improve deployment automation, release processes and developer tooling.
• Operate and evolve Kubernetes environments supporting production workloads.
• Create reusable infrastructure modules and automation frameworks.
• Improve monitoring, reliability and operational maturity across critical systems.
• Collaborate with developers to remove bottlenecks and improve developer experience.
