Job summary

Systematica Group is seeking a Platform Engineer in London to join the Technology Operations team. You will design, build and operate a production platform across AWS and on‑premises, focusing on HashiCorp tooling and automation to enable scalable, secure software delivery.

You will own Vault, Consul and Nomad, implement IaC with Terraform and use Ansible for deployment workflows. Strong Linux, networking, and Kubernetes experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE or related role.
• Experience with hybrid cloud and on‑premises infrastructure.
• Hands‑on with HashiCorp Nomad, Consul and Vault.
• Strong IaC using Terraform; proficient with Ansible.
• Experience AWS, Kubernetes (EKS) and container runtimes.
• Knowledge of monitoring with Grafana/Prometheus and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate and operate production platform across AWS and on‑premises.
• Own and evolve HashiCorp platform (Vault, Consul, Nomad) and integrations.
• Use Terraform to define resources and modules; maintain reusable templates.
• Use Ansible for multi‑stage deployments and configuration management.
• Develop internal tooling to improve developer productivity and reduce toil.
• Support CI/CD platforms and secure promotion of changes.
• Improve reliability, security and observability of the platform.
• Collaborate with engineers, researchers and security teams to deliver scalable platforms.
