Job summary

Our Future Health UK is seeking a Platform Engineer to bridge infrastructure and software engineering. You will build scalable health data platforms, implement IaC and GitOps, and pursue best practices in testing, reviews, and design documentation.

You’ll work across cross‑functional teams to launch services, improve legacy systems, and support on‑call rotations to ensure reliability. The role emphasizes collaboration with product managers and a strong emphasis on modern cloud‑native

Qualifications

• High proficiency in cloud DevOps/platform engineering and large‑scale live services.
• Hands‑on experience with infrastructure‑as‑code and GitOps workflows.
• Excellent coding skills in a high‑level language (preferably Python).
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and open‑source tech stacks.

Responsibilities

• Launch new services and integrate complex systems with partners.
• Collaborate with product managers to shape solutions from idea to implementation.
• Support feature development, technical debt removal, and platform improvements with high standards.
• Contribute to architecture planning, retrospectives, and incident reviews; participate in on‑call rotations.
• Support broader engineering initiatives and community growth.
