Job summary

Halian is seeking a DevOps / Platform Engineer to shape and evolve a cloud-native platform powering healthcare-focused SaaS products in the UK. This role emphasizes development, platform engineering, and SRE mindsets over traditional operations.

You will design scalable infrastructure, implement IaC, and drive automation to boost reliability and deployment efficiency across AWS/Azure/GCP environments.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in a Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Software Engineering role.
• Experience designing and building scalable, automated platform solutions.
• Experience building cloud-native platforms on AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, or similar environments.
• Strong scripting or development capabilities (Python, Bash, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve the platform infrastructure that supports business-critical applications and services.
• Collaborate with development teams to scale and operate new features.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and automation frameworks.
• Drive platform reliability, scalability, and performance through engineering best practices and SRE principles.
• Architect and implement solutions that improve developer experience, deployment efficiency, and platform resilience.
• Enhance Kubernetes-based environments to support future growth.
