Job summary

Neilson Financial Services is seeking a Staff Full-Stack BI Engineer to drive platform-first data products across marketing and call centre operations. You will steer the transition to Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog while delivering sophisticated Power BI models and analytics.

You will own end-to-end BI solutions, define standards, mentor engineers, and collaborate with regional leaders to align BI with business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in BI or Data Engineering roles with end-to-end accountability.
• Hands-on production experience with Azure Databricks.
• Advanced Power BI skills including complex model design, RLS, performance tuning, and measure authoring.
• Think platform-first—build reusable solutions and document thoroughly.
• Azure Databricks certifications are a must.
• Domain expertise in Performance Marketing Analytics or Call Centre Operations is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Own complex data products — turn multi-stakeholder asks into governed BI products from model to report layer.
• Architect the platform — lead cloud-native lakehouse on Azure Databricks; establish Python-first standards and reusable framework patterns.
• Rationalise KPIs — drive one version of the truth for core metrics with senior stakeholders.
• Govern and secure — design access controls, RLS, and documentation; mitigate risks early.
• Lead across functions — partner with Regional Heads and Sales/Ops Directors to shape BI products aligning with business operations.
• Raise the team's bar — define criteria for modelling, design, and reporting; mentor engineers; develop reusable patterns.
