Job summary

Neilson Financial Services is seeking a Staff Full-Stack BI Engineer to drive data-product thinking and platform design, not just dashboards. You will lead the transition to a modern Azure Databricks-based stack with Delta Lake, Python, and Git-based workflows while keeping Power BI at the center for trusted, stakeholder-ready reporting.

As a senior contributor, you will mentor engineers, define platform standards, and partner with regional and sales teams to deliver scalable analytics that

Qualifications

• Significant experience in BI or Data Engineering roles with end-to-end accountability.
• Hands-on production experience with Azure Databricks.
• Advanced Power BI skills including complex model design, RLS, performance tuning, and measure authoring.
• Experience in performance marketing analytics or call centre operations.

Responsibilities

• Own complex data products from request to reported insight.
• Architect the platform: cloud-native lakehouse on Azure Databricks with Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
• Rationalise KPIs and enforce them in the semantic layer with stakeholders.
• Govern and secure data access, RLS, and documentation standards.
• Lead across functions and mentor engineers to raise quality and reuse patterns.
• Raise the team's bar with modelling, design, and reporting standards.
