Job summary

Datatech Analytics is seeking a Senior Data & BI Engineer to drive the transition from SQL Server to a modern Azure-based data platform. You will build governed data pipelines, craft trusted Power BI products, and work with senior stakeholders to standardise KPIs across multiple markets.

The role is hands-on across the full data lifecycle, mentoring engineers and raising engineering standards while delivering scalable data products and analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong production experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark and SQL.
• Advanced Power BI, DAX, semantic-modelling and row-level security experience.
• Confidence working directly with senior Sales, Marketing or Operations stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring others and establishing reusable engineering standards.
• Commercial analytics experience within performance marketing or contact-centre operations.

Responsibilities

• Build production pipelines using Databricks, Python, PySpark and SQL.
• Develop Lakehouse architecture using Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
• Create dimensional models, semantic layers and advanced DAX measures.
• Define and rationalise KPIs across teams and countries.
• Own data products from initial requirements through to ongoing improvement.
• Mentor engineers and help raise technical standards across the team.
