Job summary

London and Quadrant Housing Trust is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician Plasterer to join our Responsive Repairs team on a permanent basis across South London. Reporting to the West Ham Lane, Stratford office, this role offers mobile working with a provided van and standard hours of 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

You will carry out plastering repairs in occupied properties, handle patch repairs, plasterboarding, bonding and rendering, and undertake painting and decorating to a high

Title: Maintenance Technician Plasterer

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week

Salary: £41,000 per annum

Grade: DM Tech 05

Location: South (Southwark & Lambeth)

Persona: Mobile Working (van provided) contractual hours to be worked from various locations such as resident homes with ad hoc office attendance as required

Reporting Office: West Ham Lane, Stratford

As part of our in-house maintenance team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining residents' homes, delivering high-quality repairs, and helping us achieve excellent customer satisfaction.

Your Impact in the Role

• Carry out a wide range of plastering repairs and maintenance works within occupied properties.
• Complete patch repairs, larger plastering works, plasterboarding, bond and set, finishing, and rendering.
• Undertake painting and decorating tasks to a high standard.
• Deliver quality work with a right first time approach
• Use your multi-trade skills to support a variety of repair and maintenance jobs
• Deliver excellent customer service during every resident interaction.
• Work safely and comply with all Health and Safety requirements at all times.

You’ll be provided with an L&Q van for business use, along with the power tools needed to carry out your role effectively.

What You’ll Bring

• A recognised trade qualification, along with sound knowledge and practical experience in plastering. Or be qualified through time served in a similar Plastering role.
• Experience working within a housing maintenance, repairs, or building maintenance environment.
• Strong skills in plasterboarding, bond and set, finishing, and rendering.
• Confidence in painting and decorating, with additional trade skills highly desirable.
• Experience working across a varied housing stock.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A good understanding of Health and Safety practices.
• A full UK Manual driving licence.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
