Job summary

L&Q Living in South London is seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Carpenter to join our in-house maintenance team on a permanent basis. You'll work across our housing stock in Lambeth and Southwark, carrying out a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks in occupied properties.

The role offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with potential for additional call-out work. We value quality, safety, and excellent customer service as you help residents maintain and improve their homes.

Qualifications

• Strong carpentry trade knowledge and practical experience.
• Experience in housing/building maintenance or construction.
• NVQ qualification or equivalent trade experience preferred.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service and build relationships with residents.
• Proactive, right-first-time approach to repairs and maintenance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
• Full UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a broad range of carpentry and maintenance repairs across occupied properties.
• Complete internal and external door fitting and repairs.
• Undertake splice repairs, locksmith work, and lock repairs and replacements.
• Repair and replace bathroom subfloors, bath panels, and associated frameworks.
• Carry out kitchen repairs and refits.
• Complete a variety of general maintenance and multi-trade repairs.
• Ideally undertake internal and external window repairs, including single and double glazing repairs if within your skill set.
• Provide excellent customer service as a key point of contact for residents.
• Work safely and in line with Health and Safety standards at all times.

Join Our Maintenance Team

Our South London in-house maintenance team is looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Carpenter to join the team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a busy and well-established team, carrying out a wide range of repairs and maintenance work across our housing stock in and around Lambeth and Southwark.

Your Impact in the Role

As a Multi-Trade Carpenter, you will:

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who has:

• An NVQ qualification or equivalent trade experience (preferred).
