Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is seeking an experienced operations leader to manage a large team overseeing Energy Recovery and Material Recovery Facilities. You will drive performance, safety, and compliance while ensuring financial targets and budgets are met.

The role requires engineering expertise, strong leadership, and extensive P&L experience to coordinate cross-functional activities and engage with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in an Engineering discipline with previous technical experience from a continuous process background.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to support and manage teams through guidance and mentoring.
• Financial oversight and P&L management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance requirements.
• Negotiating and influencing skills with strong commercial acumen.
• Previous management experience in Energy Recovery, Power Generation or process industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large team to deliver overall performance objectives including financial targets, production, plant availability, safety and compliance.
• Direct and coordinate all aspects of Energy Recovery, Mechanical Treatment and Material Recovery Facilities operations
• Prepare annual budgets for Operations & Maintenance and manage P&L responsibility (Multi £M revenue)
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders to deliver client contracts and maintain strategic technical oversight
• Record and process accidents, incidents and audit/non-conformities in line with reporting processes

Job description

• Lead a large team to deliver overall performance objectives including financial targets, production, plant availability, safety and compliance
• Manage the Facility in line with Veolia Minimum Requirements (VMR) toolkit standard, Environmental Permit requirements, ISO standards and ERF safety systems
• Direct and coordinate all aspects of Energy Recovery, Mechanical Treatment and Material Recovery Facilities operations
• Prepare annual budgets for Operations & Maintenance and manage P&L responsibility (Multi £M revenue)
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders to deliver client contracts, drive high levels of contract performance and maintain strategic technical oversight
