Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is seeking a hands-on operative to support site operations. You will operate plant equipment used in handling, sorting and transferring waste, marshal vehicle movements and maintain a clean, safe yard.

The role requires good communication, teamwork and the ability to follow detailed policies and procedures to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Operate plant equipment involved in handling, sorting and transferring waste.
• Be able to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Maintain a clean, tidy yard and ensure safety procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment for waste handling, sorting and transferring.
• Keep the yard area clean and tidy at all times.
• Marshalling vehicle movement around the site during busy periods.
• Assist the Operations Manager in day-to-day site operations.
• Communicate clearly with team members and follow site policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the yard area is kept clean and tidy
• Marshalling vehicle movement around the site at busy times
• Assisting the Operations Manager in day to day running of site operations
• Good communication skills.
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Follow instructions, policies and procedures

Desirable

• Loading Shovel and/or 360 Grab licence
• Mobile plant experience would be beneficial
• Reversing assistant experience
