Job summary

South Staffordshire Group is seeking a Planning Administrator Apprentice to support the Regional Programme Manager and Planning team with day-to-day administrative tasks. The role helps the apprentice develop practical workplace skills, gain confidence, and learn about the utility industry.

Under guidance, you will assist with processing MU call offs, updating systems, responding to site queries and assisting with procurement, liaising with site contacts across developments and field staff.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; in-house training provided.
• Good IT skills and attention to detail.
• Team player with good communication.
• Able to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Arrange MU call offs for services.
• Arrange all MU post connection paperwork for services.
• Schedule all MU Services and Electricity jointing.
• Send all MU site notifications.
• Handle MU queries and issues (replacements, leaks, repairs; calls/emails).
• Prepare MU service Job Packs including drawings and dead mains checks.
• Process Water, Gas and Electricity material orders from site to procurement.
• Book corrective actions.
• Liaise with Supervisors and Project Managers about program changes.
• Coordinate with client site management teams.
• Handle daily phone calls.
• Attend Daily and Operations meetings.
