Planner – Social Housing
Croydon
Temp to Perm
£16.91 per hour (Umbrella)

We are looking for an experienced Planner/Scheduler to join a busy social housing repairs and maintenance contract based in Croydon. This is a temp‑to‑perm role offering weekly pay, long-term stability and the opportunity to move into a permanent position after the initial period.

The ideal candidate will have experience planning repairs, managing trades diaries and delivering excellent customer service to tenants and operatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate reactive repairs, maintenance appointments and follow‑on works
  • Manage engineers’ diaries efficiently, allocating jobs by location, priority and skillset
  • Liaise with tenants to arrange bookings and provide updates on repair progress
  • Work closely with supervisors, operatives and call centre teams
  • Ensure all KPIs are met, including job completion times and tenant satisfaction
  • Update job information, notes and statuses on the internal system
  • Reschedule missed appointments and respond to urgent or high‑priority jobs
  • Maintain strong communication across all teams to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Planner, Scheduler or Repairs Coordinator in social housing
  • Strong IT and scheduling system skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage changing priorities
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Basic DBS required (can be completed prior to start if needed)
