Job summary

Dacorum Borough Council in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Placement Lead Officer within the Housing Options Service to coordinate the Accommodation Resourcing Service and manage the Placement Team.

You will oversee Temporary Accommodation, provide advice to households, ensure compliance with housing legislation, and act as the main contact for officers. A UK driving licence and DBS check are required. The role is fixed-term until 31 March 2028.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence is required.
• DBS check will be undertaken for successful candidate.
• Experience in housing options or front-line services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Placement Team and coordinate the Accommodation Resourcing Service.
• Secure Temporary Accommodation and provide advice to households in temporary housing.
• Monitor and support day-to-day queries, ensuring compliance with housing legislation.
