Fumo Manchester is seeking a proactive Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen team. You will work in one of our authentic Italian restaurant sections under guidance from senior chefs.

You will prepare and cook dishes to recipe standards, supervise commis chefs, maintain cleanliness, follow food safety policies, and collaborate with management to deliver timely service. Benefits include free meals on duty and staff discounts.

Formación

• 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and high organisation.
• Proactive self-starter with ability to work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Preparing and cooking food in their assigned kitchen section (grill, pasta, meat & fish, or pastry).
• Ensuring all preparation and cooking aligns with established recipes and quality standards.
• Managing their kitchen section and supervising any commis chefs or kitchen assistants.
• Keeping their section clean, organised and ensuring equipment is maintained.
• Collaborating with kitchen staff and management to ensure timely food service.
• Adhering to company food safety and allergens policy.
• Maintaining records of food inventory, preparation and waste for their section.
• Treat everyone with respect and remain calm at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing their section of the kitchen, including overseeing the work of any commis chefs or kitchen assistants


• Ensuring that their section of the kitchen is clean and organised, and that all equipment is properly maintained


• Collaborating with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner


• Adhering to company food safety and allergens policy


• Maintaining accurate records of food inventory, preparation, and waste for their section of the kitchen


• Treat everyone with respect and remain calm at all times

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 2 year's experience in a similar role


• Excellent communication skills


• Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised and capable of handling multiple tasks


• A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement and minimal direction
