Job summary

San Carlo Bristol is hiring a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and cook dishes in your section, maintain high standards, and work with the brigade to ensure timely service and consistency across the menu.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes in your assigned kitchen section (grill, pasta, meat & fish, or pastry).
• Ensure all food preparation and cooking follows established recipes and quality standards.
• Manage your kitchen section and oversee junior chefs or assistants.
• Keep your section clean, organized and equipment well maintained.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure timely service.
• Adhere to company food safety and allergen policies.
• Maintain records of food inventory, prep, and waste for your section.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food in their assigned section of the kitchen, such as grill, pasta, meat & fish, or pastry


• Ensuring that all food preparation and cooking is done in accordance with established recipes and quality standards


• Managing their section of the kitchen, including overseeing the work of any commis chefs or kitchen assistants


• Ensuring that their section of the kitchen is clean and organised, and that all equipment is properly maintained


• Collaborating with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner


• Adhering to company food safety and allergens policy


• Maintaining accurate records of food inventory, preparation, and waste for their section of the kitchen


• Treat everyone with respect and remain calm at all times

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 2 year’s experience in a similar role


• Excellent communication skills


• Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised and capable of handling multiple tasks


• A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement and minimal direction
