Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking food intheir assigned section of the kitchen, such as grill, pasta, meat & fish, orpastry
- Ensuring that all foodpreparation and cooking is done in accordance with established recipes andquality standards
- Managing their section of thekitchen, including overseeing the work of any commis chefs or kitchenassistants
- Ensuring that their section ofthe kitchen is clean and organised, and that all equipment is properlymaintained
- Collaborating with otherkitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared andserved in a timely manner
- Adhering to company foodsafety and allergens policy
- Maintaining accurate recordsof food inventory, preparation, and waste for their section of the kitchen
- Treat everyone with respectand remain calm at all times
Required Qualifications &Experience:
- 2 year’s experience in asimilar role
- Meticulous attention todetail, highly organised and capable of handling multiple tasks
- A proactive self-starter whocan work independently with good judgement and minimal direction
