Job summary

San Carlo Manchester is hiring a Chef de Partie. The role involves preparing and cooking across kitchen sections, maintaining quality standards, and supervising junior staff. You will work under established recipes, ensure safety, and collaborate with the team to serve meals promptly.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised and able to multitask.
• Proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food in assigned kitchen section (grill, pasta, meat & fish, or pastry).
• Ensure food prep and cooking meet recipes and quality standards.
• Manage own kitchen section and supervise commis chefs or kitchen assistants.
• Keep area clean and organised; maintain equipment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to serve timely meals.
• Adhere to food safety and allergens policy.
• Maintain records of inventory, preparation and waste for own section.
• Treat everyone with respect and stay calm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking food intheir assigned section of the kitchen, such as grill, pasta, meat & fish, orpastry
• Ensuring that all foodpreparation and cooking is done in accordance with established recipes andquality standards
• Managing their section of thekitchen, including overseeing the work of any commis chefs or kitchenassistants
• Ensuring that their section ofthe kitchen is clean and organised, and that all equipment is properlymaintained
• Collaborating with otherkitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared andserved in a timely manner
• Adhering to company foodsafety and allergens policy
• Maintaining accurate recordsof food inventory, preparation, and waste for their section of the kitchen
• Treat everyone with respectand remain calm at all times

Required Qualifications &Experience:

• 2 year’s experience in asimilar role
