Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Pipeline Civil Engineer to drive technical delivery across major water pipeline projects in the UK and internationally, combining risk-based design with innovative trenchless solutions.

You will work with clients and multidisciplinary teams to assess asset life, rehabilitation options, and deliver high-quality reports, proposals, and specifications that support sustainable, resilient water networks.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering (or related) with Chartered or Incorporated status (or pursuing registration).
Experience across key pipeline disciplines: structural design of buried pipelines and thrust restraint design communications.
Familiarity with pipeline rehabilitation, trenchless design, failure assessments, or piping analysis software (e.g., CAESAR II).
Excellent proposal and report-writing skills; ability to liaise with multidisciplinary peers, clients, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide technical engineering across the full lifecycle of major pipeline projects.
Oversee material selection and structural design of buried pipelines; address thrust restraint and trenchless methods.
Lead rehabilitation assessments and evaluate life extension options for networks and catchments.
Contribute to project proposals, high-level technical reports, and research initiatives with industry bodies.
