Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in the UK seeks a Pipeline Civil Engineer to manage the full lifecycle of major pipeline projects.

You will work with clients and multi-disciplinary teams on structural design of buried pipelines, rehabilitation options, and trenchless solutions to extend asset life. Applicants should hold a Civil Engineering degree and be Chartered or working toward ICE/CIWEM; experience with CAESAR II and pipeline standards (BS EN 1295-1:2019, BS 9295:2020) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified civil engineer with water/pipe experience; chartered or working toward chartership preferred.
• Experience across pipeline disciplines including buried pipeline design to relevant standards.
• Proficiency with pipeline analysis tools and ability to engage clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of major pipeline projects from concept to delivery.
• Lead material selection, structural design of buried pipelines, thrust restraint, and trenchless technologies.
• Apply advanced pipeline analysis tools; evaluate rehabilitation options and asset life extension.
• Prepare proposals, high-level reports, and contribute to research initiatives with industry bodies.
• Collaborate with clients and peers to ensure technically sound and deliverable solutions.
