Job summary

Expanded are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work on our East West Rail project in Milton Keynes. You will take overall responsibility for planning, coordinating and delivering project work, leading the team to ensure safety, quality and on-time execution.

You will develop the construction programme, manage stakeholders, and collaborate with design and engineering to resolve challenges while maintaining commercial awareness and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• 10-15 years of delivery experience in Civil Engineering.
• Temporary Works and self-delivery experience.
• Experience leading and managing teams of engineers.
• Infrastructure project delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for planning, coordination and delivery of the project or package of works.
• Provide strong leadership to the project team, driving a positive health, safety and quality culture.
• Develop and manage the construction programme, identifying key milestones, risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate site operations, ensuring labour, plant, materials and subcontractors are effectively planned and managed.
• Work closely with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure construction requirements are considered throughout delivery.
• Build strong working relationships with the client, supply chain and wider project stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with the commercial team to understand project performance, manage change and maintain commercial awareness.
• Manage project risks and opportunities, taking early action where issues could impact programme, cost, quality or safety.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, designs and quality requirements.
• Lead project meetings, reporting and communication, providing clear visibility of progress and upcoming priorities.

Role & Responsibilities

Requirements

• Civil Engineering degree or similar qualification


• Temporary Works & self-delivery experience


• Previous experience leading & managing teams of Engineers


• Circa 10-15 years' experience within Civil Engineering (delivery)


• Infrastructure experience
