Job summary

Booker in Manchester is seeking a permanent Van Driver to join our delivery team and support the delivery operation with a focus on first-class customer service.

You will be responsible for picking, packing, loading, and delivering goods, ensuring on-time arrivals and accurate paperwork, while maintaining professional conduct with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence required.
• Permanent role on delivery team.

Responsibilities

• Accurate picking and dispatch using a hand held terminal and informing the Manager of any differences.
• Check quality, shelf life and ensure packaging is robust for delivery.
• Provide a high standard of customer service by processing deliveries efficiently and to target.
• Provide first class service to customers when delivering goods.
• Be polite with delivery staff and refer complex queries to a suitable colleague.
• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch and unload at customer premises; complete paperwork accurately.

About the role

Within this role you will have the opportunity as a permanent member of the team to join ourdelivery team.

You will join the business as a Van driver with a mix of duties, including pickingfor thedelivery teamwhich includes supporting the delivered operation in achieving first class customer service.

You will need a full driving license to be considered for this role.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

You will be responsible for

Responsible for providing a high standard of customer service by processing deliveries efficientlyand to target.

Providing first class service to our customers when delivering their goods.

Being polite when dealing with delivery staff and responding appropriately to queries and complaints referring any complex situations to someone who can help.

You'll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.
