Job summary

Circle Health Nottingham is seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant (bank role) to support the physiotherapy team. You will assist with interventions, guide patients through prescribed exercises, and help prepare treatment areas.

Job description

We have an opportunity for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department. This is a bank role working on an "as and when required" basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. Duties of this role include:

• Assist with the delivery of physiotherapy interventions as directed by a registered Physiotherapist.
• Support patients with prescribed exercises, mobility practice, and therapeutic activities in a safe and compassionate manner.
• Set up and prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, ensuring all equipment is safe, clean, and ready for use.
• Provide reassurance and motivation to patients during therapy, helping build confidence and engagement.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, stock checks, and preparation of therapy materials.
• Follow all relevant health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding procedures.
