Job summary

Randox Health in Milton Keynes is seeking a motivated Phlebotomist to join our clinic located at John Lewis, The Centre:mk. You will perform blood and urine collection, with focus on safety, accuracy, and patient comfort.

Working 4 on 4 off, full-time or part-time considered, you will also support reception duties, maintain records in our Patient Information System, and contribute to a high-quality private healthcare service within a retail setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service environment.
• Confident using IT programmes.
• Flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client appointments with blood and urine collection.
• Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
• Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
• Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments.
• Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic.
• Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
• Help with reception, front of house and other administrative duties.
• Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
• Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manage various software systems and daily tasks.

• £13.46 to £14.42 per hour, plus additional sales bonuses

We have an exciting new career opportunity for Phlebotomists within our clinic within the John Lewis store in Milton Keynes.

Location

John Lewis, The Centre:mk, Marlborough Gate, Milton Keynes MK9 3EP.

Contract Offered

Full-time, permanent. We can also consider part time hours.

Working Hours / Shifts

4 on 4 off, in line with store opening hours. The store opening hours are 9.30am to 7pm Monday to Wednesday, 9.30am to 8pm Thursday and Friday, 9am to 7pm on a Saturday and 10.30am to 5pm on a Sunday.

For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Right to Work Requirement

Please note that this role requires candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. This is to ensure completion of our 9-month probationary period and for any potential sponsorship decisions to be considered. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship at the point of hire.

Essential criteria:

• Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service environment.
• Confident using IT programmes.
• Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends.
• Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.

Desirable:

• Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
• Experience in a private healthcare setting.
• Experience in customer service.
• 6 months experience in Phlebotomy.
• Sales / Retail experience.
• Valid UK driving licence.
