Job summary

Boots is recruiting a Trainee Dispenser to join our pharmacy team in-store across the UK. You will support the pharmacist in dispensing medicines, advising patients, and ensuring safe sale of medicines while you complete your NVQ2 Dispenser training.

No previous experience required and full training will be provided. Role is based in-store in the UK; remote applicants are not considered and right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Willingness to complete the Dispenser NVQ2 training while working.
• Current and valid UK right to work; not sponsorship eligible for Skilled Worker visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete training for the NVQ2 Dispenser programme.
• Dispense prescriptions and ensure safe supply of medicines (labelling, endorsing, collection).
• Assist pharmacists and healthcare professionals in delivering pharmacy services.
• Provide advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up-to-date with store innovations and operational processes.
