Job summary

Boots is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our in-store pharmacy team across selected London locations. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals, dispensing prescriptions, giving medicine guidance and upskilling through NVQ2 training.

This role is based in-store in the UK; remote applications are not considered. Full training is provided and right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in-store to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store technologies and SOPs.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence.
