Job summary

Boots UK is offering a Trainee Dispenser in-store across the UK. No prior experience is required and full training will be provided while you complete the Dispenser NVQ2 programme. As part of the pharmacy team you will assist the pharmacist, dispense prescriptions and advise patients to ensure safe sale of medicines.

The role is UK-based; remote applications are not considered. We support career development with ongoing updates, training, and the potential to progress toward Pharmacy Technician

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and complete the Dispenser NVQ2 programme.
• Current and valid UK right to work; not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions with safe supply of medicines; labelling, endorsing and collection.
• Support in delivery of pharmacy services alongside the pharmacist and store team.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to ensure safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Assist in patient adherence and manage repeats to reduce waste.
