Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our store-based pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals while you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2).

No previous experience is required as full training is provided and you will build relationships with patients, dispense prescriptions, and offer advice to support health decisions. Based in the UK, this role is in-store and in-scope for NVQ2 training; remote applicants are not considered.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work; this role is not sponsorship eligible.
• Experience in community pharmacy is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines; ordering, labelling, endorsing and collection.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services in-store.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines to promote adherence and reduce waste.
