Job summary

Boots UK is offering a Trainee Dispenser in-store across UK locations. No prior experience is required and full training will be provided toward the NVQ2 dispenser qualification.

As part of the Boots pharmacy team you will assist the pharmacist with dispensing prescriptions, greet customers, and provide medicines advice while learning safe procedures under SOPs. This role requires UK right to work and is not sponsorship eligible.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection).
• Work with healthcare professionals to assist in delivering pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and adherence to reduce waste.
