We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million residents, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
This is a permanent, full-time position of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern from Monday to Friday (8.30 am - 4.30 pm).
Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is essential.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated technician to join the NHSGGC Pharmacy Team, focusing on prescribing initiatives and prescription management. As part of the Prescribing Team, you will promote cost-effective, evidence-based prescribing within GP practices and Care Homes across NHS GGC, working closely with GPs and multidisciplinary teams to enhance medicines management and patient care.
The role involves delivering pharmacotherapy services as part of the GP contract and supporting patients with their medicines. Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and IT skills are required, along with the ability to influence change. Experience in Primary Care or multidisciplinary teams is desirable.
You will coordinate data collection, update clinical records, analyze information, and support quality medication reviews. Discussing medication use with patients over the phone will also be part of your responsibilities.
