Operations Technician - Customer Engineering Services (CES)

Scotland (Fully Remote / Mobile Role)

£40,000 - £44,000 per annum + up to 8% annual bonus + excellent benefits

About The Role

We’re on the lookout for a proactive and skilled Operations Technician to join our Central Engineering Services team, supporting customers across Scotland. This is a fully remote, mobile position - you'll operate from your home base, with a company vehicle provided, and take full ownership of your schedule and diary.

You’ll play a key role in delivering technical support to a wide range of industries, working independently while staying connected with a highly collaborative and supportive engineering team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Carrying out planned and defect maintenance on a range of systems

Diagnosing and repairing faults to ensure system reliability

Providing outstanding service and acting as the face of our engineering team on

customer sites across Scotland

Managing your own calendar and schedule to meet both customer and business needs

Working closely with project engineers to support system installations and

commissioning

Guiding and mentoring apprentices, trainees, and contractors once fully trained

Sourcing and purchasing equipment, parts, and materials for workshop use

Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities

What You’ll Bring

A vocational qualification in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation engineering (or

equivalent experience)

Welding Experience Would Be Highly Beneficial, Though Not Essential

A genuine desire to learn, grow, and share knowledge with others

A collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills

A proactive approach and the ability to build strong customer relationships

A high level of personal integrity and commitment to safety and compliance

Strong self-management skills and confidence working independently in the field

Industry-specific training will be provided - what matters most is your attitude, curiosity, and willingness to grow.
