Job summary

Boots UK is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to deliver outstanding patient-centred service across communities. You will triage patients, coach the dispensary team and provide expert technical advice on medicines, ensuring safe and compliant operations in store.

The role emphasizes leadership, patient care, and collaboration with the pharmacy team to maintain high standards and service quality.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Demonstrated excitement for coaching and leading a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to improve outcomes for teams, customers and patients.
• Desire to deliver services and outstanding patient care.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
• Deliver services as required by store needs.
• Coach and inspire the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of care.
• Assist with patient triage and distribution of prescription handouts.
• Make safe, legal and ethical decisions in the pharmacy.
• Manage operational tasks: stock replenishment, workload, order fulfilment, and handling controlled drugs.
