Job summary

Boots in the United Kingdom is seeking a pharmacist to provide expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products, and to deliver store services as required. You will lead and coach the dispensary team to uphold the highest standards of care while ensuring safe, legal decision-making in all pharmacy activities.

You will assist with patient triage, prescription handouts, and stock management, including controlled drugs, with a focus on patient safety and service quality.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to coach and lead a dispensary team.
• Experience with pharmacy systems and technology.
• Training will be provided if needed for checking capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
• Deliver services dependent on store needs.
• Build relationships with the pharmacy team and coach them to deliver high standards of care.
• Assist with triage of patients and distributing prescription handouts.
• Maintain legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Manage stock replenishment, workload, orders, and controlled drugs handling while ensuring patient safety.
