Job summary

skills4group in Exeter is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. The role focuses on supporting safe, lawful supply of medicines while training to become a registered Pharmacy Technician through the Level 3 Apprenticeship.

You will develop skills in patient advice, stock management and clinical governance, with mentoring from pharmacists and progression to a registered technician on successful completion.

Qualifications

• GCSEs 4-9 (A-C) in Maths and English desired but not essential.
• Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent may be provided via the course.
• Apprenticeship training leads to GPhC registration on completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage, order, receive and supply medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately.
• Provide person-centred advice to patients on prescriptions and OTC medicines.
• Support day-to-day pharmacy operations, stock control and governance.

About the course

Exeter, EX1 - We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will support the safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working closely with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team. We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person‑centred advice to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback

Apprenticeship & qualification:

• Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A‑level)
• On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Training delivered through a blended learning approach alongside your job
