Skills4Group is recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team in Moseley. This role is designed for someone seeking to progress in pharmacy and develop the skills to become a registered Pharmacy Technician. The apprenticeship provides Level 3 training and blended learning, with earnings during the course.

Start date is 19/10/2026 with an application deadline 02/10/2026. GCSEs and Maths/English requirements are described, with initial tests if needed.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English desirable; part of course may be provided.
• Maths/English Level 2 optional; initial tests may determine suitability.
• Pharmacy experience preferred; training provided during apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines safely and accurately.
• Providing person‑centred advice to patients on prescriptions and OTC medicines.
• Supporting day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy including stock control and governance.
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy staff as you progress.
• Assisting with training and mentoring new staff.
• Maintaining high standards through audits and responding to feedback.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will support the safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working closely with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team. We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person‑centred advice to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback

Apprenticeship & qualification:

• Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A‑level)
• On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Training delivered through a blended learning approach alongside your job
