Job summary

skills4group in Tonbridge is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone seeking to progress within pharmacy and develop skills to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

The apprenticeship provides Level 3 Pharmacy Technician training and eligibility to register with the GPhC upon completion. You will gain hands-on experience while earning wages throughout the course.

Qualifications

• GCSEs A-C (4–9) in Maths and English preferred.
• Maths/English Level 2 or equivalent may be required; tests may apply.
• Willing to undertake initial maths and English tests if needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage, order, receive and supply medicines accurately.
• Provide patient advice on prescribed and OTC medicines.
• Support day-to-day running, stock control and governance.
• Supervise and support pharmacy staff as you progress.
• Assist with training and mentoring new staff.
• Maintain high standards by auditing and responding to feedback.

Qualifications Required

Key responsibilities include

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person-centred advice to patients on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance

Apprenticeship & qualification
