Job summary

skills4group is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team in the UK. The role focuses on safe supply of medicines while training to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

The apprenticeship provides Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Training with blended learning, and there is potential for full-time employment on successful completion. Applicants should be prepared for the programme and working hours.

Qualifications

• GCSEs A-C (or 4-9) maths and English; course can be provided.
• Maths/English Level 2 not essential if offered through course.
• Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship training provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage, order, receive and supply medicines safely and accurately.
• Provide patient advice on prescriptions and OTC medicines.
• Support day-to-day pharmacy operations incl. stock control.
• Supervise and support pharmacy staff as you progress.
• Assist with training and mentoring new staff.
• Maintain high standards via audits and feedback responses.

Brief Description

S63 0JF We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

About the role:

As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will support the safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working closely with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team. We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Key responsibilities include

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person‑centred advice to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback

Apprenticeship & qualification

• Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A‑level)
• On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Training delivered through a blended learning approach alongside your job
