Job summary

The Boots Company PLC is hiring a Trainee Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals while you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2) and learn how to dispense prescriptions safely.

This in-store role provides hands-on experience with patient care, medicines labeling, and clinic workflows. No prior experience required; full training is provided, and you must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work; this role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Work with other healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services in-store.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and improve adherence.
