Job summary

Boots is recruiting a Trainee Dispenser to join our pharmacy team in-store. You will support the pharmacist, greet customers, dispense prescriptions and help ensure safe sale of medicines while you train for NVQ2.

This entry role requires no prior experience; full training is provided and you’ll develop patient care skills, with career progression options within Boots as you complete the programme.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. Not sponsorship eligible for Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing while ensuring safe supply of medicines.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with store innovations and comply with processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines effectively.
