Job summary

Boots is seeking a Dispenser to join the in-store pharmacy team in the UK. You will assist the Pharmacist with dispensing prescriptions, advising patients, and ensuring safe and compliant pharmacy operations, within a supportive retail environment.

You will build rapport with patients, manage repeats, and develop professional healthcare knowledge through training and progression opportunities, including potential paths to Pharmacy Technician or leadership roles within the store.

Qualifications

• Completed Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines.
• Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with innovations in the store to improve patient safety.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and adherence.

Education

NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor or equivalent / MPharm first year
