Job summary

Boots UK is hiring a Dispenser to join the in-store pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, provide medicines information, and deliver safe, patient-centred care.

This in-store role involves working within the healthcare department, building relationships with patients, following SOPs, and seeking career development, including the potential to train as a Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience working in community pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines and managing prescriptions.
• Collaborate with pharmacy colleagues to deliver and manage pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with operational processes.
• Assist patients with repeats and medication management to promote adherence and reduce waste.
