Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a Dispenser to join our store-based pharmacy team across the UK. You will support the Pharmacist and healthcare professionals, dispensing prescriptions and advising patients on medicines to promote safe, informed health decisions.

You will work within the store's healthcare department, building relationships with patients, handling repeats, and ensuring safe sale of medicines. In-store training and career development are available.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor qualification completed or in progress toward MPharm first year.
• Current and valid UK right to work; this role is not eligible for sponsorship.
• Experience in community pharmacy would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing prescriptions and ensuring the safe supply of medicines (e.g., ordering medicines, labeling, endorsing, and collection).
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in-store to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist when appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe, legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with operating processes.
• Help patients manage their prescriptions and adherence to reduce waste.
