Job summary

Boots is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our in-store pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals, dispensing prescriptions and advising patients while completing your NVQ2 Dispenser training.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided. The role is in-store with mandatory pre-employment checks and a focus on patient safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work; not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Work with healthcare professionals in-store to assist in management and delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with SOPs.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medications to promote adherence and reduce waste.
